Psuedo Spring

It’s like spring in these parts! I can’t believe it’s only January and we are experiencing such warm sunny weather. Typically, I enjoy a good long California autumn and winter (even if it’s pretty mild for most winter standards!) but this is nice for a change. At the very least, it’s a nice excuse for a fun illustration :)

Hope everyone had fun celebrating the beginning of 2012. I am looking forward to seeing how the new year starts out. I have lots of new ideas to share, so I suppose whipping this blog back into shape in is order. I don’t really have any resolutions, nothing that I am not ordinarily trying to improve upon on any given day, but I do like new beginnings. :)

It’s been a while since I have submitted to Illustration Friday. It feels great! With this one, I wanted to create one composition with characters separated by their environments. Separate yet connected. We all have our own “worlds” but we still have at least one thing in common. Look up! Enjoy :)

Woodsy Buds

This time of year always makes me want to go to the mountains. Since things have been crazy and I haven’t had the opportunity to get away, a “just-for-kicks” vector illustration was in order. Racoons and chipmunks can be seen right here in Huntington Beach but they seem out of place. I can only imagine that they want to go to the mountains too!
